The world premiere of János Vajda: The Imaginary Invalid, or, The Cabal of Hypocrites has also been rescheduled from 24 October to 30 October, 8 pm. The tickets already purchased are valid for the new dates, or may be redeemed at festival’s website until the performances begin.

Margó Literary Festival and Book Fair

Thanks to Margó Literary Festival’s autumn edition, Castle Garden Bazaar will again be the heart of literature for four days. Readers can learn about the best Hungarian and world literature, and buy the latest volumes. This autumn’s Margó will be host to the Swedish Jonas Jonasson and the Finnish Sofi Oksanen. János Háy, Orsolya Karafiáth, Tibor Noé Kiss, Krisztián Nyáry, Ernő Rubik, György Spiró, Kata Tisza and Pál Závada will each present a new volume. Diverse as usual, the programme will include book launches, meet-the-author events, music and theatre productions, professional sessions, literary walks in the city and an exclusive audiobook launch. Minka x BernáthY x Karcis, will give a concert, and the featured guests of the closing night will be Márk Járai and Géza Bereményi. The Margó Prize for the best first volume of prose will now be presented at the festival for the sixth time.
