In 2017 the young organist won the Annie Fischer Scholarship for the performing arts for the second time. In addition to historical organs, he is also interested in the now rare pressure-system harmoniums. He regularly performs as a soloist, organ accompanist and continuo player.

Zsolt Máté Mészáros was born in Miskolc, and started his organ studies at the Béla Bartók Secondary School of Music, with Gabriella Mátyus, née Andrássy as his teacher. In 2012 he was admitted to the Liszt Academy, where his mentors were László Fassang, János Pálúr, István Ruppert and Balázs Szabó.

He has taken the master classes of Arvid Gast, Christoph Bossert, Hans-Ola Ericsson, Michel Bouvard, Ton Koopman and Zsigmond Szathmáry, among others. He has been the resident organist of the Church of St Ladislaus in Kőbánya since December 2013, as well as the singing tutor of the Szent László Choir.
