Rozsnyói Péter Trio

Rozsnyói Péter Trio

Péter Rozsnyói’s style is unmistakable. He is practically unparalleled in that – unlike Jacques Loussier – he did not jazzify Bach, but Bachified jazz. He has been doing so with more taste and success than any of his contemporaries, or even Dave Brubeck, who occasionally ventured in this direction.

Péter Rozsnyói graduated at the jazz piano programme of the Liszt Academy in 2004, as a student of Kálmán Oláh. Eminent British jazz pianist Julian Joseph came to know him during a 2003 master class in Budapest, and in 2004 he personally introduced Rozsnyói at his London concert.

Péter Rozsnyói represented Hungary at the Montreux International Jazz Piano Competition in 2006 and 2007. He has been on the permanent staff of the Snétberger Music Talent Centre since 2011.
