AI Am Here

A journey around Artificial Intelligence
  1. Performed by: Valencia James, Boglárka Lakatos-Varga, Nea Landin

Imagine an Artificial Intelligence, a creature that tries to decode essential human communication, and interact with humans with the help of sounds, lights and signs of movements. It keeps growing its intelligence on the basis of what those who engage with it do. The respective roles of performer and viewer blur, because everyone becomes a co-creator.

Founded in 2013, AI_am is a unique international cooperation between a choreographer, an AI developer, and creative technology experts, who work to study connections between artificial intelligence and contemporary dance. With the application of advanced machine learning techniques, and the establishment of original links between science and art, the project redefines the concept of performing art.

The production AI Am Here is a performance and interactive experience in the course of which the audience come to know a new type of AI—a creature that responds to the movement of humans in space, seeks to learn and understand, and creates its own visual and acoustic language so that it can communicate with us, ask questions on empathy and group identity.
