Welcome on board!

Eirini Sourgiadaki and Anna Rubi met in Zurich, where they studied, and formed their duo in 2015. Experimentation is key to the work of the formation they call We work hard on a big, big plan as are new and special forms of interactive storytelling that involve the audience.
Welcome on board! is an immersive simulation of a cruise, taking the ‘passengers of the boat’ far away to uncharted seas. By reaching the open water the transformation of the space begins; feelings, memories, and ever-expanding associations gradually fill the vessel. Above all, Eirini Sourgiadaki and Anna Rubi want to stimulate their audience’s imagination, with lots of humour, playfulness and creative techniques of association.

The production was premiered as part of the Tanzhaus Zürich’s SHOW-OFF in 2018.

A performance in Hungarian.
